Matthew Gaylord, LMP
Licensed Massage Practitioner
Matthew has been a member of the Evergreen Chiropractic team for the past two years. He is driven to provide goal oriented therapy to those who have found themselves in pain from motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries or chronic pain. He believes that massage can always increase the quality of life in those who choose to utilize bodywork as an avenue for personal enrichment and therapeutic care.
Matthew is a graduate of Brennekke School of Massage in Seattle, Washington, and has pursued the art of bodywork seriously since 2006. His professional foundations are in sports injury, motor vehicle rehabilitation and lymphatics. He is classically trained in Swedish deep tissue as well as certified in Lymphatic Facilitation. He has great success with whiplash, migraine, acute surgery and injury care, as well as chronic pain management and creation for all clients on the path to homeostatic well-being.
Matthew's personal goal is to facilitate within each of his clients the changes that they wish to manifest in their everyday lives. These changes can be a return to a more healthy lifestyle, an increase in athletic abilities, a return to a previous level of ability prior to injury or the systemic reduction of stress. He also has great esteem for working with immune-compromised individuals and those who are grappling with an old or overwhelming physical limitation.
Matthew has also devoted a major portion of his life to the study of philosophy and martial arts. He has a degree from Western Washington University in East Asian Studies with a concentration in Japanese Language and philosophy, and he continues to pursue his traditional foundations in Iaido, Kendo and Goju Ryu Karate. He incorporates knowledge from his cerebral pursuits as well as his own personal development in his healing modality and draws from his personal experience with injury and the transformative effects that bodywork has had in his own life.
